Do any one of you Intrigue owners have this annoying problem?
Ok, I've had quite a time with the turn signal bulbs and its getting on my nerves. About three years ago I purchased a headlight assembly complete with all the sockets and bulbs, which I went through a body shop to get at a reasonable price. Fast forward to last year, the turn signal in that asembly plus in the other stopped working. The rear signals work fine. First, I pulled out the newer asembly and to my horror, wasnt authentic GM parts (you get what you pay for). The sockets and wire harnesses are way different and the wiring is thicker than the GM version.
Looking at both signal sockets, they both seemed to have experienced alot of heat as they were both burnt. I then went to the local GM dealership here. Showed the parts dept the aftermarket socket with the GM socket. He ordered a replacement socket but tried to locate a parts number for the aftermarket assembly to try to order me another, there was no parts id. He told me that recently GM no longer sends headlight assemblies complete, you have to individually purchase the sockets. It would've ran me over $200. I said screw that just order me the one socket.
Once it came in, put it in worked fine until now. Replaced bulb, no effect. Checked socket, and looks burnt. Wanted to hulk out and smash stuff. What is with the turn signals on this car? Is GM making crap-tacilar parts? Any insight will help.
