Re: Tamiya 1/24 Aston Martin DBS

Wow that's hilarious! It really feels like getting back to the old days! Thank you guys, thank you a bunch! Can't tell you how happy to be back around! I'm sorry the reply came very late since the past busy week.

yours is better than mine in every detail!
Thank you buddy, and I don't believe you for a second~

I am simply lost for words.... Your work is the amongst the very best I've seen and your presentation lifts it above anything else. What an inspirational post. Thank you.
Hi Kitefighter, that's a lovely DB9 you got, I assume the green one is pretty rare right? Don't let your DBS wait on the sprues, I'm sure it'll be much better than the minichampions when finished, and way more funny!

Is the intake plenum really white? I did mine with flat white, as all the pictures I saw online but, I doubt if it is light gray or white.
Thank you very much buddy, I think it's flat white just as all the pics suggested. There's something I'd like to share about the white paint. I used finisher's foundation white for that part then flat cleared it. That paint is the whitest I've ever used, and covers the base coat incredibly well. I've also tried some other flat white before and they were all more or less yellowished, not this one, really great stuff!

It is white.
Hi xpeed thank you for the picture and kind comments! That was the very car that inspired me on the paint scheme inside out.

WOW !!!

超,非常漂亮的模型 (google translator)

As someone already wrote earlier
'One of the Best models I have ever seen....absolutly amazing'

For begining I thought that is joke - what does the real car in Car model section ?
Then I realized it is not real one. And I started to cry...

In The Polish language is the phrase 'zajebisty' - that is, more or less - 'fu***ing cool' (positively) and this is a right phrase for summary your excelent work, gorgeous model, max high detailing and outstanding photos in presentation.

I look at models I have done, and I asking my self "what is it" ? :
Hi Mr.Benz, Thank you very much! That google translator really made a lot of fun there LOL~~~~~ Did you know stevenski who's one of your Polish lads? Haven't seen the old dude for a long time...

Stunning model, and superb presentation. I felt like I was reading an advert for the real thing!
Hi Mike thank you! You really were realing an adv. cause the book in the first pic was actually the commercial brochure of the real thing, lol~~~~

Gorgeous! You should send this to Tamiya.
Thank you very much Helico, I'm sure they've seen better. But here's a loooong wish list that I really would like to send to them! Please Tamiya please make the alfa 8C, 4C, the maserati Gran Turismo, and all those new ferraris!!! Wow and Studio27 is about to release the Alfa TZ3 Corsa later this month!!!

Wow. Amazing work. Welcome back. I recently resumed this hobby as well after a 5 year break.
Bring it on buddy!!!! That's really a long break and we need to sit back aside the bench NOW!!!

Tang, buddy, blew me away.
I think you can tell by the amount of replies that people are stunned by it - both model and photos. Great stuff, glad to see you back at the bench. Top notch work!
Many thanks Alex! Encouragement from my all time idol really meant a lot!

Very nice job and I really like the photos too! Mine is still in the making, but it's Celeste Blue pearl by Zero, I really like that color. Your's isn't bad either.
Thank you Uninen! I've no idea of that color you mentioned, could you please post a pic perhaps? Being curious about a pearl blue Aston!

Stunning way to present your model! How did you do that? Is it a PDF from InDesign that youve attached to the post? Great work, I love that colour on the DBS!
Hi da ashman, thanks for the comments. I did the layout in Photoshop. I'm not a professional graphic designer so I wasn't capable of much softwares like Indesign, but I thought I should have a try when possible, that should make life more easy right?

You kind sir, have amazing talent in both modelling and photography. I envy your skills and I wish that I can do that.....i love the aston martin, and your pictures look so realistic and the presentation is so nice that it looks like it almost came out of a brochure.

That is awesome!! Please do more models and post the pictures!
Thank you very much sir! I could have done absolutely nothing without learning from amazing people here. So you'll do just fine! What's more important, what a lovely place to be!
