Generally FWD, Transverse cars have a lot less space, but there are plenty of exceptions.
Generally the larger the car though, the more room there is.
A 90s Civic for example as heaps of space.
Cars like the Camry and the Accord, that come with 4cyl and V6 options are a bit different.
The 4cly has too much space around it, while the V6 doesn't have enough.
The Camry is a special problem because the engine is leaned back in the engine bay, with the aft cylinder bank head facing the firewall.
