Re: Ram Overheating
I have a bit of an update. I went and took the physical temp of the engine with a temp gun and the top of the radiator is about 170 to 180F and the bottom of the radiator is about 130 to 140F. The top of the heads are right at about 185 190 and there is one spot on the pass side that is 210 215 but that is the hottest it gets. Now I drove it around all morning today in about 101F temp outside with the A/C off and the gauge never got outside of the normal range and these are the temps I took off of the engine after I got back. I then turned up the a/c to full blast and the gauge started to climb farley quickly and once it got up to right below the H on the gauge I took all the temps again and they didn't change but a couple of degrees here and there. So I am thinking my gauge is giving me a false reading. Has anybody else had this problem and what would cause the gauge to read false. Also am I taking the temp correctly with the right parts of the engine to get a good reading. Thanks for all of your guys help
