1) Pull all the plugs + turn engine over by hand!

If noise or locked up, it's an interfearence type engine, and the valves are bent.
If ''ok'', put cylinder 1 on TDC.

2) Set all the timing marks + put a new timing belt on.
3) Check the compression on each cylinder.
