Update: car now has 146k on it. No "significant" changes other than the issue occurs more frequently at higher ambient temps. Up to the last week or so, it would happen every 2-3 months. Lately we have had very hot Wx. Daily temps in the 90s. Fluid still smells fresh. Not using any. A definite skip/slip is noticed between 40 and 45 mph under load. I am starting to theink this may be electrical related and me be fixed with a new or reprogrammed TCM. Maybe it's just a loose connection. Can anyone guide me to the TCM connection? I'd like to re-seat it.
