Dont Park your car on a incline.

$500-$3500 damage
DIY = $60 - $125 with S type aluminum shifter repair kit from Ebay motor parts.

Even though your parking brake is on, your foot is on the brake, shifting from the Parked pos to N, R, or D will be hard and can cause your plastic linkage to break.

Caution -
Prior to putting into the Parked position, put into the Neutral position and apply Parking brake. When the car settles down, put into the Parked pos.
