Re: door handle won't operate

I fix 3 or 4 of these a year...handle linkage gets worn, handle can't travel far enough to trigger door latch. Owner gets pissed, eventually breaks the handle off from tugging so hard.

Handles are color coded and readily available on Ebay $32...easy to replace, just pull door panel off as described above.

The trick is to find and fix this before owner breaks it off....I open panel, and put a couple of slight bends on the linkage. to shorten it enough to always trigger the latch-- done about a dozen this way....happens on all four doors too, just a matter of how often they are used.. My Dually had three doors do it.....
