In short, only if you have climate control- or an outside temperature display (OAT).. then the rule of thumb is - no a/c when OAT reads 40 degf or less. If you had 65degf ambient and no a/c, then you have a problem.

Most likely a loss of refrigerant due to a leak-- but hopefully, your mechanic will know for sure.

The biggest leak source in your van, you have already addressed- the evap- so go back and let the mechanic have another try. These are called "comebacks" in his business... Something no true mechanic wants to have.
