The scratch build J32 looks good too you've got pretty good skills at building engines.
CF could have look better, but I think it's not that much a matter of brand rather that a matter of pattern.
The one you used is plain weave pattern which is hardly used on big CF parts. Next time try to use twill weave pattern, I'm sure it will look better.
