.I have a 04 Pajero with 110,000kms. Recently I heard a grinding noise while slowing down to stop. My first thought was big bucks for a new transmission
. This morning I spoke to the Mitsubishi Dealer troubleshooter/test driver and he said "Ah, you have a bad soleniod". Apparently a soleniod is going bad and the front wheel drive is partially engageing, thus the grinding noise. The good news
is that the repair will be a lot less than a new transmission. So, if you have the same problem don't worry
and take your vehicle to the dealer, it might not be so bad. FYI, I recently had my Pajero (w/ brush gaurd) repainted and it looks awesome
. In my opinion the older Pajero looks much better and rugged then then the new style. Good luck
