If it has not been tuned up in a while, plugs and wires are in order. An Air filter and fuel filter is also included in the tune up. Then have the fuel pressure checked. It should be around 32 psi while idling. It should jump up to a little over 40 psi when stomping the accelerator. The Idle Air COntrol valve could also be starting to fail. it is located down on the back of the engine just to the drivers side of center. Let us know what happens.
