The version you are building with the rear boot spoiler is the 1977 version and these only ran with the blue sides as shown in the poster (except for perhaps during testing?).

The restored version that is racing now is a 1977 version with the 1976 decals I think.

I too have seen the restored car racing at Mallory Park recently and it was awesome! Unfortunately the original side exit exhausts are now only for show so we couldn't hear the orignal incredible noise but it still sounded fantastic!

I took plenty of photograph's, I will see what I have of the interior etc for you!

I notice the restored car is advertised for sale in the latest version of Motorsport magazine, you could buy the full size car!

Good luck, and keep it going!
Thanks for the kind words. You are correct about the year colors/paint job, also the front spoiler is a little different in design, I am painting in the blue sides 1977 version. Also repainted the wheels centers black since the gold ones where used in only a few times.

By the way, you should see the 1/43 scale super detailed model of this Broadspeed XJC using the AMR white metel kit been made by a French master modeler, it even have a scrachtbuilt engine....is mindblowing!!!!!!!!.....my big scale effort looks like a poor attemt at doing justice to this race car.

Hope to some day be able to see the real car, it truly an impresive machine.
