Yeah, I snipped the yellow wire, I did it with the engine running though, at the time it was my understanding that it had to be done with the car already running or basically it would turn your car into a 3500 lb paperweight, I didnt bother to test that theory and simply started the car up and snipped the wire, havent had a problem since....hoping my Security bulb will eventually burn out
