About this list,

The last I checked (which was 2005, as that's what year my Forester was, and I was in the same boat) the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sorrento were unavailable in 4wd with the MT.

The Jeep Wrangler will obviously have 4wd options, but may lack in options as they usually still "only" offer sticks in the more basic models. Unfortunately, as memory serves, the Liberty and Patriot did NOT have AWD or 4wd for MT.

I bypassed on the X-Terra in MT because I wanted halfway decent fuel economy, but that may not be on your agenda.

I've had my MT Forester (just the 2.5X model) since the fall of 2005, and I've put over 85k miles on it. I routinely get 23-25mpg in mixed city/highway driving, and I've topped out at 30mpg for only highway. The AWD has always worked well - and if I may say so, makes for some AWESOME donuts in the snow. It may not be the same body style as the modern Forester, but I love that mine fits in "snug" parking spaces, holds me and both my pups, can carry a BUTTLOAD of cargo (but only with no passengers) and goes anywhere I've asked it to.

Good luck in your search!
