did that last jan in my truck. (1990 350 k1500 5 speed). after disconnecting EVERYTHING, put just a lil bit pressure, enough to stiffen the lifting chains, and slid the motor away from the trans by the time i was off the motor mounts, they were completely seperated. (motor ---___ Motor mount) it took me a month, but i put $5000 in mine... this winter im replacing all the things i didnt then... sensors, ign, yeah... hope everything goes well.


P.S. when seperating, MAKE SURE there is enough pressure on the life to bear the weight. not just take the slak out...
