did that last jan in my truck. (1990 350 k1500 5 speed). after disconnecting EVERYTHING
, put just a lil bit pressure, enough to stiffen the lifting chains, and slid the motor away from the trans by the time i was off the motor mounts, they were completely seperated. (motor ---___ Motor mount) it took me a month, but i put $5000 in mine... this winter im replacing all the things i didnt then...
sensors, ign, yeah...

P.S. when seperating, MAKE SURE there is enough pressure on the life to bear the weight. not just take the slak out...
