Remove the radiator cap and make sure the radiator is full. Make sure the coolant in the coolant bottle is within the marks. Make sure the serpentine drive belt is in place. They regularly come off driving through puddles. The radiator cooling fans may not be turning on. Turn on the A/C and they should turn on in seconds. Turn the A/C off then let the van idle and heat up. Fans should come back on within 10 minutes. If the fans are good you may need a new thermostat. Sailboat???
