Please forgive my ignorance on the subject, but is your truck set for 12 volts?

I have done many stereos in the past, but never swapped a factory one before with bypass codes. If you have the stereo on hand, see if you can rig a simple "power", "ground" and accessory from the stereo to a 12 volt source.
