What electrical part is this ground wires for? I pretty much 100% sure that it will not even give you any HP increase at all by changing the ground wires unless you have an intermittent problem in the circuit.
The only electrical part that controls your car's performance is the computer (unless it's a carburetor). The ECU circuit in your car is very complex, a slight change of resistant will cause your ECU to operate differently so I highly recommend you not to fool around with the circuit unless you know the what you are doing and the consequences.
The ground wires in your factor car should flow normally at it's best operation, it will not make a difference if you only change the ground side of the circuit due to the HOT side wire gauge remain the same (it also depends on your resistant [load]). Anyway, I am just curious on where did you hear that it will increase your HP?
