I am sorry but I just don't see the point. I have a friend that had a 1978 Celica and that thing couldn't even keep up with my Jeep Wagoneer, and that thing couldn't get out of its own way to save its life.
However; to each his own. Yes you can turbocharge a naturally aspirated engine. It is just a matter of time and money, and you better have a good amount of both.
I wouldn't suggest even thinking about doing it yourself, take it to a professional that you implicitly trust to install the turbo if you decide to have it done. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
