A little bit of damage is not so bad. Yes you can swap the front pump assembly. They are pretty much the same pumps. As the Transman said. Make sure you remove the CC Solenoid and the filter. They go straight into the pump. The filter is obvious but the TCC solenoid is at the front of the vase held in by two 8mm - 10mm bolts right off the valave body. That is all you have to remove. And if you do not have pump puller, you can pry gently on the pump and the case to pop it loose. Also there is a orange rubber seal on the shaft. Make sure you remove it carefully so that you can reuse it. If you leave it on, it will be a pain to remove the pump.
