This post is about the new creative spots for the 2011 Subaru WRX STI that we are very proud of. The Canadian car industry’s new guidelines dictate that a car in a commercial has to obey rules of the road. But the WRX STI is a rally inspired vehicle and would not impressed unless the vehicle lived up to its reputation.
With these restrictions in mind, Subaru Canada looked toward animation. Like a flipbook, the animation in the new TV spot is entirely powered by the vehicle itself. The entire spot frame was illustrated frame by frame, in graphic detail, to highlight the raw performance of the new WRX.
