If the fuel pump was a Delphi OEM type Not just a Napa oem you should be good to go.
Airtex and aftermarket pumps are junk
But that only about 3 gallon in tank is a big no no.
Never run a tank low on fuel or under 1/4 tank.
Running low on fuel will dmage even a good fuel pump.
And always recheck fuel filter after driving it.
And recheck fuel pressure for proper pressure.
