When I have ran into that on my 05 silverado not reading the power light did not work and I actually blew the fuse which is the same as my power point fuse. When I turn the key on the security light does not come on anymore. Security light should come on key on and then go out if working right.
Check for spark to plugs engine cranking.
If fuel pump does not power up key on 2 second prime up.
Jumper fuel pump and see if it runs and has proper pressure.
Also check all fuses and power feeds.
