When we talk 102, it is as far as I remember 102B and 102D. Engine is NOT the same. I think there are other upgrades done to the 102D, but it is a long time ago.
107 is from 1992 season. 107B is from 1993 season, where the tire rules did change. I think there are more modifications - like the shape of the bodywork. Tamiya typically do NOT take the old kit and just include some new decals.
Since plastic Tamiya kits are not that expensive - buy all the kits and save a lot of time and trouble.
