That is completly wrong, EGR wont cause a no start when hot, it needs the STC bracket on the back of the high pressure oil pump, the quick connect is leaking. promise.
PS franco, 99-03.5 had no egr valve, 6.0 only, witch is 03.5-07. Good day sir.
