Welcome to the Durango, the window she do not work forum. What you probably heard is the window regulator cable or attachment breaking, very common with our cars. I was driving a '03 with windows up, heard a pop and the glass dropped out of sight into the door. Pull the door panel and take a look and I bet you find a broken regulator. I went to Advance Auto Parts, picked up a new regulator assembly (motor,cable and attachments) for $89.00 and had her back together and working in about one hour.
