If your idler arm is pretty loose you can get movement on the other side off of it. I have an s10 with 170k miles and idler was loose other side seemed loose but was the idler pitching up. Changed idler and both sides were tight. If you do change the idler id stay away from autozone there lifetime part had more play than my bad part. I used a Moog part tight and lifetime warranty.
