I am the initial poster of this title for help, but have seen no post nor any answer/suggestion. I got the job done yesterday. The lock cylinder costs $12.00 and the instruction that comes with it, though not for my car particularly but for most 89 Cherokee, 4 Cylinders, 2.5 litre, is good enough for me to follow with an average amount of common sense. Pep Boys lent me the tools for the job. Pulling the steering wheel was a little awkward as it has never been pulled since I bought the car in '89, so much so as an attempt to get the snap ring out. Reinstalling was easy as I lined up all the parts in sequence of removing on my garage desk. I was so scared that I would mess it up, but I did not. Thank God.
