Ok, here is the deal, the AEM EMS (the best price and functions in an ems right now) will only work with obd1 + cars. I am planning an engine swap for next fall, and this is the time to start making plans on paper. I wanna drop in a b18 (a, b, c?) and turbo it. I am gonna go all out and I DEFINATELY want real ENGINE MANAGEMENT, not just tricking the computer. I may use a vafc until I can secure the money for ems, but that is besides the point. So, I wanna convert the car to be obd1, do I need to swap harnesses? modify it? what is the deal. Anyone know where I can find info about this? I remember there was a guy who put a gsr engine in his 4th gen, with the harness and the cluster and the hydro tranny and everything, can someone give me a link to his info?
Any help would really rawk. also, which 1.8 is best for boost, I am willing to do pistons and rods, and cylinder suport and all. This is going to be a serious engine that will be a realiable daily driver too. v-tech is not really necesary, I don't really care about that. but it does have a techno-geek kinda appeal to me
