just for the sake of argument I would like to say, Honda would definitely not need a test market for a type r product, with the past successes of other type r's and the current popularity of the rsx in America. And the type r is definitely going to be more than $30,000 being that the K20A type r engine is about 3k to 4k more expensive than the type s engine alone. And there will definitely be people willing to pay over $30,000 for a genuine type r. A test market for a type r just sounds ridiculous. One reason that the type r isn't here now is becuase it doesn't meet american emmission standards, not because Honda is unsure how well a relatively limited number of units of type r's will sell and needs a test market.
