Welcome to AF and sorry for the delayed reply!!

Yes any vacuum leak will cause high idle. Also starting it with out those items connected can cause the pcm to try and recalibrate its settings to run. So it might take it a few driving cycles to go back to normal.

Also check that the MAF sensor wires arent damaged, this too can make it idle high or not want to stay running.
And lastly make sure the IAC port on the TB is clean and clear passages thru the TB.
