Re: P0341 what would you do?
I've inspected the wiring to the sensor and it all looks fine. Haven't pulled the sensor yet as I know I have to move the power steering pump to get at it.
ok first....read your code book carefully, I replaced a shift solenoid because i didnt read the book carefully...in your case...the book says camshaft position sensor A-bank 1 ckt range/perf. now look at the codes near that one and see if somewhere there it doesnt say sensor malfunction....heres the difference....if it says sensor malfunction it would be the sensor...but if it says "circuit" then the problem is in the circuit...yours actually says ckt range/ perf. I would say either you have a loose connection or a broken wire.....the sensor itself can be tested but you must remove it to do so.Also you might remove the sensor and clean it ...sometimes oil build-up or sludge will get on these sensors and cause them to do funny things....but if you remove it I would go ahead and test it...different sensors are tested in different ways so the best I can tell you is to go to your local auto parts store and buy the repair manual it will tell you how to test it. worse case ...you replace the sensor....even if it wasnt bad ...piece of mind knowing you've got a new one.
