Talking Re: Need help with aftermarket component speaker install.

Well I spent most of this morning wiring the front components. To my awsome inquisitness I was able to: wire, zip tie, custom mount my bomb set of MTX 6 1/2 inch components. I started off the build about a month ago slowly taking my time to make sure I did things right. Step one: this process took time and very gentle cutting. Take the factory tweeter housing and carefully cut out the hole to flush mount the aftermarket set. Step two: Since I wanted to use the MTX gills I made two set of mdf rings and glued them together, Bondo the rings and used a spot sealer to file pin holes. Sanded them and primmed and painted and mounted them to the factory location. This made them stand out an additional 2 1/2 inches from the door panel. Step Three: Finding the right way to wire this funky wiring mess. I hooked my crossovers up the my Alpine CDA 9886. By the way the best deck I have ever owned. And ended up hooking the tweeters to the crossover and then with the two plugs that fit into the tweeter mount. One of those is the Mid range door speaker wires. Colors are kinda weird so just follow the wire to the wiring harness that you purchased before installing a different deck. And walla.......sound you can only dream about. Major up grade from stock. The rear speakers were cake just bypassed all factory wiring on those one and tucked and hide the speaker wires. Thank you everyone who was going to help but I couldn't wait any longer and did it.... Now to install the 12 inch MTX 8500. Happy jetta driving all.............
