But Arii's box isn't wrong for it's the JDM version. "Fairlady Z" is the vehicle name, and "280Z" is a grade designation in Japan.
As for the non-Japanese 280Z, the Monogram kit occasionally pops up on eBay, like this one.

But in the worst case scenario, Revell's 240Z kit should suffice for it being the first Z (with the same body shell as 280Z), and many Z enthusiasts have a soft spot for it.
Or, better yet, get Tamiya's latest 370Z kit together. Anyone can see family resemblance between the 240 and 370. (And after all these years, the 240 still looks sharp, doesn't it?)
