Brake pedal feel is very subjective, so what is soft to one person may indicate something else to another. Brake bleeding procedure varies depending on which brake system you have. The Bosch doesn't require running the ABS pump, the Delco system does. Do you have the 3.8 or the 3.5
Brake pads that aren't seated feel different - it's hard to describe. Seating them doesn't mean regular braking - you have to follow specific procedures. Here is a hardcore procedure, with links to explanations:
