Didnt try this Paul but expect it would be to high a pressure and yes would most likely kill the pump.

I used a Carter 100 GPH 7psi pump, the filter that was in the car with the injection and added a regulator up front. I have used these Carter pumps before and they have proved to be very reiable especially given thier very resonable price. Dont be fooled into buying an expensive brand name pump. There are quite a few unreliable "lemon" pumps out there...............
