I recently had my 90, 4.0, XJ smogged in california and I was told I couldn't pass because the "CHECK ENGINE (EMISSIONS)" light didn't come on when the ignition switch was turned. I've been to the dealership and I was told that my model XJ did not come with a light (cal model). I've replaced the O2 sensor and tried to replace the emissions maintenance timer but I can't find it or the plug for it. I've also checked all the bulbs on the dash and they're all ok. Can anybody help ???
