I had the problem. The gas gage would go to empty when I filled the tank and after I used some gas it would work again. It was the fuel sensor IN THE GAS TANK cost about 500 to pull the tank at a dealer and fix. I call GM corporate from their web site complained. Found this was a common problem and they had a "silent recall" meaning that they extending the warrenty for this gas sensor problem until 70,000 but didn't tell anyone unless there was a complaint. I had about 69,8700 when I called and complained. GM did a great job with customer relations and ended up fixing the problem for free.
