Re: Another Intrigue Trans Issue

My fault, the left SVS light is correct. I replaced the transmission myself....not fun at all if you don't have a lift. But anyway, I was a diesel mechanic, and do most of the repairs on my vehicles myself unless its something I don't think I can tackle. As far as cars, I guess that makes me shadetree!

I have had hard shifting issues with the car for awhile now(once it gets warm) even before I replaced the trans.
When I installed the newer trans, I bent two pins in the receiving plug which caused the transmission to only have the higher gears; probably 3rd because the takeoff from a stop would be akin to wear or slippage of the trans. I was able to straighten the two pins and plug in and immediately the shifting was normal. Then once it got hot, thats when the erratic shifting and high rpm would start.
I'm going to double check that ground to make sure its correct. I do think that the SVS light came on after my installation of the trans, but I'm just not sure.

I won't be able to take the car to the transmission shop so they can read the codes until wednesday, but I will update once I find anything new.

krivasauto thanks for the input, anything helps!
