i like the potential of a larger displacement engine. the perfect rod/stroke ratio isnt too big of an issue, especially if you are not going to put the engine through hell. keeping it NA is going to extend the life of any engine. the b18 was still engineered very well, and withstand just about anything you throw at it while keeping NA. availability of parts is anothe good reason. the b16 was only available from 94-97, then from 99-00, whereas the b18 was available from i think 94-00. this means more people buying more motors and demanding more mods. most people dont even know the b16 was around from 94-97. when it comes down to it, though, its all up to the person putting up the cash, so go with whatever suits you best.
