Latest I heard from a friend of mine who is a rep for Mitsu is that the US corporate offices have not confirmed. The plans are there but have not been executed. There is talk about whether we will see a watered down version
to compete with 227-hp WRX or they might wait to see if Subaru confirms the 276-hp WRX STi to be US bound then they might give us the 276-hp Lancer :flash: to respond to that competition. However, you are right it is all speculation.
All I can say is that my source is from within the walls of Mitsu corp and there were official company announcements for product line enhancements. If we do see it it won't be until the 2003 line up.
But hopefully we will see and and be able to smoke :smoker2: the competion.
