May I suggest the Mr. Hobby Topcoat 501 clear...

I know you like acrylic clears and know your way with them. The Mr. Hobby clear is sort of a "hybrid" in that itīs acrylic but when thoroughly dry it is almost as hard as a lacquer and can take quite a bit of polishing if needed, but since itīs very self-leveling, with some practice you can get 2K like results straight from spraying. Since you own a dehydrator I donīt think drying times will be a problem for you, as the clear sometimes can be a bear to get fully dry.

One word of advice, decant it and spray with an airbrush. The pressure in the can is very difficult to control. Getting orange peel is more rule than exception.
