I would assume that using the Si wiring harness would mean rewiring most of the engine compartment, where as using the DX harness and just converting would, as the man said, mean only extending a few wires, running two extras for the injectors, and putting in the injector pins...
I would also assume (since I've never seen one) a MPFI ECU has the same shape port to plug into the wiring harness as does the DPFI.
In which case, converting from DPFI to MPFI doesn't sound like too hard of a thing to do... was just wondering if using the entire MPFI harness would be easier or not... but I guess not.
