Have you checked power steering fluid?
I have not worked on any GXP's, so I can't be of much help.
You could take the serpentine belt off and run the motor for a minute or so to see if the noise is still there. If it goes away with the belt off its pulley related, if its still there you better have ammco tear into the trans again.
Isn't your car still under its factory warrenty?
