The V8 StockCar Series 2010 "Winter Heat" events at Sebring next week, February 21 & 27, and at PBIR the following are shaping up to be very competitive weekends of racing. Three of the four 2009 class champions will be on hand with most of their close challengers there to torment them. The addition of the V8 GT2 class, which debuted in 2009, promises to bring some additional marques to the series such as Porsche's, BMW's, Mazda's, and maybe a Viper or two.
2009 V8 GT-1 champ, Dave Machavern returns in his Tommy Riggins prepped Corvette, and Daytona's Ray Webb will counter with a Riggins built
Vette of his own. Bob Borders will bring out his similar Corvette, Charles Wicht will return in his crazy fast, winged Monte Carlo and Mike Kern will be on hand in his beautiful FuelClinic.com Camaro.
In the V8 SPO stock car class, champion Larry Hoopaugh returns, with Paul Breehne vowing revenge for his one point championship loss in his Rousch/Yates Performance Parts Ford Fusion, Lee Arnold and Bubba Longbottom will be fast as well.
2009 V8 GTA class champion Randy Walker will have the usual suspects chasing him again, in no particular order, that would include 2008 champ Tony Amico, 2007 champ Jay Marshall, plus race winners like Bob Stretch, Randy Keith, Ron Keith, Hollywood Graham, Butch Kummer,
George Lutich and a host of other class pit bulls.
