Re: best way to run an amplifier power wire?
I ran mine (8ga) from the battery; back to firewall; over to driver's side; through rubber grommet in firewall (cut small slit in rubber); then popped off plastic kick panel in lt front, front & rear door plastic threshold covers and the plastic panel covering the seat belt anchor pillar. All those panels simply pop off & back on if you're careful. I think I did have to unbolt the seat belt anchor to get the seat belt pillar panel completely off. Was easy to do however. Ran the power line under the panels & snapped them back. Amp & sub are in cargo area on drivers side. Seemed to work OK.
Ran the head unit signal wires & sub shutoff wire to the sub in same manner, but down the other side (don't want power line & signal line together). Also ran the XM antenna line from right rear under the panels on passenger side up to the head unit. The 8ga wire just barely fit. If you're running something like a 0 ga, might be more of a challenge squeezing it under the plastic panels.
