243XX Nissan Skyline GT-R Taisan

anyway, whats the point of re-issuing old kits with new numbers? why dont they keep original number? its only when the kit has a new number if its a different livery ie- 24310 Mercedes C9 AEG, which is a re-issue of 24091 with new decals.
ive been trying to get the 935-78 since Tamiya re-released it few years back and HLJ messed up my order and i never got the kit, so looks i may have a chance now.

as with most guys here, i have most of the Tamiya kits, whats the point of buying 24295-24307 Ferraris when most guys already have the original releases?
Maybe got to do with re-printed decals (sometimes done by a different brand)
