I've got a 1995 Escort wagon that I bought in 2005 with 16,000 original miles. Right now I have 82,000, and all I've had fixed was the head gasket at 25,000.
I have to ask FordMan59, are you adhering to any special maintenance schedule, or using special oil or additives? Also, is yours a 1.9?
