Did you have the coolant leak BEFORE you replaced the thermostat? Have you checked the seals on the thermostat replacement to see if that's leaking?

There are many sources of leaks at the motor such as water pump, the intake manifold tube that is on the heater line, the rubber parts of heater hoses, the ends of the upper and lower hoses where they meet up to the engine. Take a good look after the car's been running is shut off a few minutes.
